Provides Extra Protection Against Certain Bacteria
The U442AB-DOCK9 is constructed using an antibacterial material that is effective in inhibiting Escherichia coli (E. coli) and Staphylococcus aureus (staph). This added protection makes this Safe-ITâ„¢ docking station an ideal solution for medical facilities, schools, businesses, restaurants/kitchens and anywhere else that needs extra protection against bacteria.
Supports USB-C DisplayPort Alternate Mode for Transmitting Audio/Video Signals
By connecting the detachable USB-C cable to a source device that supports USB DisplayPort Alt Mode, you can output 4K video and digital audio to compatible monitors, televisions or projectors without installing special software drivers.
Transmits 4K Video to 3 Displays Simultaneously
The dual HDMI outputs and the DisplayPort output individually support 4K video resolutions at 60 Hz with High Dynamic Range (HDR) and 4:4:4 chroma subsampling. The VGA output supports 1080p resolutions and can be used simultaneously with the HDMI ports. By connecting a source that supports DisplayPort 1.2 HBR2, DisplayPort 1.4 HBR3 or DisplayPort 1.4 HBR3 with DSC support, you may connect up to three displays simultaneously. This allows you to display the same image on all monitors, extend your host desktop across all with different windows open on each, or combine all into one large display as a video wall. Note: See the SST (Single-Stream Transport) and MST (Multi-Stream Transport) tables in the included Owner’s Manual (also downloadable in PDF format from this page) for more information.
USB Ports Connect Keyboards, Thumb Drives and Other Peripherals
One USB-C and two USB-A hub ports support fast USB 3.2 Gen 2 data transfer rates up to 10 Gbps for connecting external storage, such as flash drives and external hard drives. Two other USB-A ports support USB 2.0 speeds for mice, keyboards and other peripherals. The Quick Charge 3.0 port is dedicated to charging smartphones and other compatible devices (5V/9V/12V) when the PD charging port is in use or if the external power supply is connected to an AC outlet.
PD Charging Port Charges the Connected Notebook, Tablet or Other Device
Connect the host device’s AC wall charger to the USB-C Power Delivery (PD) 3.0 port, which supports power input up to 20V 5A (100W). Smart power technology allows the U442AB-DOCK9 to distribute power according to actual consumption of the connected devices. The host receives 60W to 100W of power based on the number of connected devices drawing power.
Accesses a Wired Gigabit Ethernet Network
The RJ45 port offers access to a Gigabit Ethernet network when Wi-Fi is unavailable or when a wired connection offers faster speeds. Connect using a UTP cable (sold separately), and enjoy true 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet speeds for fast data transfers.
